The Gold Ostrich company was founded in Greece in 2006 and till now is successfully working on the field of Ostrich Breeding – Production and Trading. Our farm is situated in Domvrena of Viotia and is organized to possess all the suitable infrastructures – establishments, necessary for ostrich breeding, that are fed exclusively with vegetable proteins, without any animal flour or animal fat supplements. The ostrich meat is one of the most superb and expensive dishes in good restaurants. It is healthy because it has very little fat in comparison with other kinds of meat. There is almost no cholesterol in it, while it s rich in magnesium, phosphorus, calcium, iron and potassium. Also, a good source if iron is the ostrich’s liver. The HDL (the so called “good cholesterol”, that helps to clean the arteries) is found in big amounts in its meat. It is a red fat-free meat of a very good quality, that can satisfy the contemporary needs for healthy food and is suitable for people, who desire a healthy way of eating. All our meat is produced and processed in Greece. It is worth to notice that the ostrich fat is used in pharmaceutical production and cosmetics. The ostrich feathers are used in the production of antistatic cleaning feathers, as well as in pillow and blanket production, and as decoration gadget in fashion industry. It skin is extremely firm and qualitative. It can be painted in any color and is used in elegant leather items production. It is expensive, but very popular for its velvet touch and durability.
